Internships and Practicums

Get connected with the Women's Center through a semester or year-long internship. There are a variety of opportunities available--check out some of the ways that you can pair your talents with the Women's Center.

Program Intern

Plan and assist with Women's Center programs. Research program-focused information and develop informational resources. Work closely with the Women's Center Assistant Director to decide on which programs you would like to work. Projects could include (but are not limited to):

Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Awareness
Eating Disorders and Body Image Awareness
Women's History
Title IX and Women's Sports
Women and Economic Justice

Community Outreach and Engagement Intern

Update and develop new features for the Women's Center Website. Work closely with Women's Center Staff to keep the community updated on events and resources available through the Women's Center. Assist in the maintenance of our growing volunteer programs, the Women's Issues Volunteer Corps, and the Ambassador Program. This internship is great opportunity to network and connect with area nonprofits and community agencies.

Fundraising Intern

Work with the Women's Center team on our annual fundraising event, Indulge in a Cause. Get hands on experience working in event planning, fund development, and community outreach.

Applications are available at the Women's Center, 1201 Kirkhof Center. We encourage all interested students to meet with a staff member before filling out an internship form.
