Women's Center Resource Library
The Women's Center Resource Library was started in the fall of 2002, and is dedicated to enriching the lives of the students, faculty, and staff of Grand Valley State University. Consisting of books, magazines, periodicals, and videos, the Resource Library is devoted to the study of women through gender issues and inequalities, feminism, sexism, and other similar topics. Special topics include health, leadership, women's history, eating disorders, and sexual assault to name only a few. The Resource Library is located inside the Women's Center in 1201 Kirkhof and is open to all students, faculty, and staff. Checkout Resources are allowed to be checked out for a period of one month. After a grace period of 14 days, if the materials are not returned back to the library, the borrower will be charged a $5 late fee in addition to the replacement cost of the item. If the materials are returned, the replacement cost of the item is waived, and the borrower is only charged the initial late fee of $5. Donations If you have recent and relevant books, videos, magazines, etc. that you would like to donate, please call the Women's Center to set up an appointment with the person in charge of the Resource Library. We cannot accept boxes of resources being dropped off at the Women's Center, but we will be happy to contact you to see if your resources meet our needs. |
