WISE has two student RAs living in the building each year.  These students are science, math or engineering major and is selected by the Grand Valley Housing Department.

Peer Mentors

We are fortunate in WISE to have live-in returning WISE students as peer mentors.  These Peer Mentors have gone through the WISE program, are science majors and are typically sophomores.  New students will benefit from the experience, advice, and friendship of these WISE role models.  Each Peer Mentor is assigned 4-5 students to write to over the summer months and help ease the transition to the college community.  WISE peer mentors also plan social programs in the building during the academic year.  To learn more about the Peer Mentors and the Peer Mentor Program check out our WISE Peer Mentor Page


We are pleased to announce the formation of the WISE Peer Mentorship program at GVSU.  WISE peer mentors are upper-level former WISE students who will live in the building as mentors for the incoming first-year students.  We will be selecting approximately 2-4 Peer Mentors to serve as role models for the 2012-2013 academic year.
