Welcome to Grand Valley State University's Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Living Center

The WISE program at GVSU is an academic living and learning community designed for first-year women majoring in science, mathematics, engineering or computer science.

WISE provides its residents with opportunities to network, study together, meet upperclass science majors and faculty, and attend events related to their future careers in the sciences. The WISE program offers seminar programs, common readings, group study tables facilitated by junior and senior science majors, advising, panel discussions and field trips.

The WISE program in the Koeze-Weed Residence Hall opened in August 2006.  The WISE living center offers a supportive environment with attractive spaces for study and socializing, conveniently located in the heart of the GVSU Allendale campus, close to science classrooms and labs as well as dining, the Kirkhof student center and the Zumberge library.

Koeze-Weed Hall has several common rooms available for study, complete with white boards and comfortable seating.  A new computer lab equipped with PCs, a laser printer and a scanner is available in the building at all times.
