No Appointment Necessary!

Throughout the year, the writing center provides writing support to all students at Grand Valley. At our physical locations in Lake Ontario Hall, the Mary Idema Pew Library Knowledge Market and the Steelcase Knowledge Market, all our hours have consultants available for both drop-ins and appointments. If you want to set up a specific time to meet with a specific consultant, then you would want to schedule an appointment, which can be done online through our website or by calling the writing center (331-2992). However, if you are near one of our locations and want to work with someone, just stop in. Every hour we have consultants available to assist students who drop-in for a consultation.
At the end-of-the-semester, our service gets increasingly busy, with appointments being booked far in advance and extended wait times for drop-ins, but we expand the number of consultant hours across all locations to help meet additional student needs.
