On behalf of the Women’s Commission leadership team, we welcome you to the Commission website and thank you for your interest!

The Women’s Commission has seen many successes born from our recent work, including the creation of the Career Coaching and Mentoring position, implementation of flexible schedule guidelines, creation of the Early Care and Education sub-committee, and much more. We continue our legacy of creating dialog, celebrating women’s leadership, and exploring issues of advocacy and encourage you to explore the site for more information about the Commission. We hope to see you at a meeting in the Fall and thank you for your support.

The mission of the Grand Valley State University Women's Commission, formed in 1996, is to advocate for all women on campus by acting on their issues and by promoting equity and social justice, ever conscious of the intersection of race, class, gender, and orientation.
