Nurse Examiner Programs

Kent, Ottawa, Muskegon counties along with Detroit and Traverse City offer Nurse Examiner Programs free of cost. Victims/survivors are encouraged to call in advance before going to any of the following locations. Someone is on call 24-hours a day. Depending on the location, GVPD may be able to assist with transportation. Please call (616) 331-3255.

Having a SANE examination done does NOT mean that you must participate in a police investigation, or that evidence obtained from the examination will be turned over to law enforcement (this will only be done with your permission). However, it will assist in preserving evidence should you choose to request a police investigation at a later date.
