The Human Patient Simulator is a life-size intubatable mannequin linked to a computer through a host of electro-mechanical equipment. The integration of electro-mechanics into the mannequin makes the user's experience very realistic.

At every level of patient care, hands-on experience is the best teacher. The Human Patient Simulator (HPS)  a computer-model-driven, full-sized mannequin  delivers that experience in true-to-life scenarios that swiftly change to meet instructors goals. The ultra sophisticated and highly versatile HPS blinks, speaks and breathes, has a heartbeat and a pulse, and accurately mirrors human responses to such procedures as CPR, intravenous medication, intubation, ventilation, and catheterization.

Computerized mathematical models of human physiology and a feedback-based pharmacokinetics system assist the mannequin in responding in real-time to all user's interventions. Features include:

  • Reactive eyes, dilating pupils
  • Intubatable airway
  • Voice through airway speaker
  • Independent chest excursion
  • Simulated pneumothorax and chest tube placement
  • CPR chest compression can be administered
  • ECG, Defibrillation, Pacing
  • Interosseus infusion (right leg only)
  • Carotid pulse
  • Bilateral pulses at Brachial, Radial, Femoral, and Pedal Locations
  • Popliteal pulse (ECS mannequin and later versions of HPS mannequin)

The Emergency Care Simulator (ECS) by Medical Education Technologies Inc (METI) is a full body, model-driven manikin, based on Human Patient Simulator technology. The ECS contains complex physiological modeling which controls the manikin's responses to users and to the environment. There are also over 100 parameters that can be combined in various ways to create an unlimited number of disease states. The conditions can be of varying severity and subtlety to cater to trainees at the introductory level through practicing doctors and nurses. The disease states can be programmed prior to the session or can be adjusted in real time.

SimMan® is a portable and advanced patient simulator for team training. SimMan® has realistic anatomy and clinical functionality. SimMan® provides simulation-based education to challenge and test students clinical and decision-making skills during realistic patient care scenarios. SimMan® includes well-proven software and an interactive technologically advanced manikin allowing learners to practice the emergency treatment of patients.

  • Full-scale patient simulator allows you to perform relevant ALS skills and scenarios.
  • Interactive manikin gives you immediate feedback to interventions.
  • Simulated patient monitor with touch-screen technology includes the possibility to configure your layout and content to mach your simulation environment.

SimNewB is an interactive simulator designed by Laerdal with the American Academy of Pediatrics to meet the training requirements of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). With realistic newborn traits and lifelike clinical feedback, SimNewB helps neonatal health care providers improve team dynamics, build confidence, and practice in a risk-free environment.
Product features:

  • SimNewB accurately represents a full-term, 50th percentile newborn female, measuring 21 inches and weighing 7 lbs.
  • A wide variety of patient conditions can be simulated ranging from a limp, cyanotic newborn with no vital signs, to a moving, crying, vigorous newborn.
  • The airway is designed to allow for training in all aspects of newborn airway management, including the use of positive-pressure airway devices, and the placement of ET tubes and LMAs.
  • The patented umbilicus has a lifelike pulse that can be assessed, cut, and,catheterized for IV access.
  • Preprogrammed scenarios provide standardized training while customizable scenarios and real-time instructor control allows adaptation to meet individual students needs
