Printmaking professor serves as juror for regional exhibition

Bill Hosterman, Associate Professor of Printmaking, will be one of the two judges in the selection committee for the 39th edition of the Elkhart Juried Regional Exhibition. He will join Head of the GRCC's Art Department Nick Antonakis in judging 432 pieces by 246 artists. After judging, 154 works by 194 artists made into the exhibition.

This annual event has become an important survey of the best of what is happening currently in the area. Every year, the exhibit displays the current trends by artists from 18 northern Indiana counties and four southern Michigan counties. It provides a unique opportunity for artists of "Michiana" to gain exposure in a museum setting.

The exhibition will be on display until December 3rd at the Midwest Museum of American Art in Elkhart (429 South Main Street, Elkhart). Since the establishment of the event, over $750,000 dollars have been awarded to artist in the target region.
