Oral Fixations seeks to find understanding in social norms relating to female sexuality. The work itself is informed by research into BDSM culture, porn addiction, rape culture, and the idea of the submissive female. The expressiveness and fragmented quality of this show represents the emotional aspects of intimacy while pushing back on social norms that inform sexual identity.
