You can request a 90-minute presentation for your office, department, or group. We have delivered this training to more than 400 employees since 2012 and hope to visit many more.
This session, presented by knowledgeable, professional staff and a student veteran, is coordinated through GVSU’s Veterans Network to provide the following:
- Introduces participants to the contemporary military lifestyle, expectations, and customs, of military service members (student veterans) and how these have changed since transitioning to an all-volunteer military;
- Addresses the various challenges for those transitioning from military to civilian, as well as, service-member to student roles, including academic preparation, financial pressures, relationships, wellness, and more;
- Offers resources available to help you assist and support student veterans on-campus, community-based, and virtual;
- Answers your specific questions.
