Position Summary

The successful candidate will join the engineering team at Gordon Manufacturing, a division of Leggett & Platt in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  This position will work directly with customers, sales and marketing to identify and define business opportunities.  Then collaborate with manufacturing and quality to design innovative and profitable products to capitalize on these opportunities.    

Requirements

•             Strong personal integrity

•             Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

•             A minimum of 5 years of experience in product development and manufacturing

•             Proficiency in Solidworks or Pro-E

Desired Skills/Experience

•             Excellent project management skills from front-end concept development to product launch

•             A passion for solving problems

•             Innovation and creativity

•             Mentoring skills

•             Previous experience in the furniture or seating industry a plus
