Are you interested in presenting? The conference conveners seek a diversity of presenters who teach, interpret, research and circulate stories of people and places in Michigan and surrounding states where Underground Railroad and anti-slavery resistance occurred. By June 1, 2008, interested presenters should submit a brief 300-word description for an informational panel, creative presentation, or research report electronically to areastudies@gvsu.edu with the subject heading: Underground Railroad Conference --African/African American Studies. Session proposals should included a one page resume or biography of the presenter(s) with complete mailing address, email, and phone number. Presenters will not be required to pay registration fees.
