Associate Director of Publications
Michele Coffill began working for Grand Valley's University Communications office in 2000, following an eight-year career as a newspaper reporter and editor. She earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Michigan State University and a master's degree in education from Delta State University in Mississippi.
Her primary responsibilities include editing Forum, a weekly newsletter for the campus community, and Grand Valley Magazine, a quarterly magazine.
She is member of Grand Valley's Team Against Bias, Campus Violence Prevention Team and the Martin Luther King Jr. Executive Planning Committee. Coffill is also an executive board member of the Michigan American Council on Education Network for Women Leaders in Higher Education, and serves as public relations chair. In 2007, she received Grand Valley's Administrative/Professional Award for Service to Community.
She and her husband, Harry, have a son, Harper.
