Kevin Gebo is an international prizewinning trumpeter as well an active
freelancer and soloist in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Kevin received a
Bachelor's Degree in Trumpet Performance from the with
and his Master's Degree at the University of California-Los
Angeles (UCLA) with and is currently completing a at The Catholic University of America.
Kevin has been a prizewinner/competitor in numerous competitions including the
National Trumpet Competition (2003, 2005), the
Competitions (2003, 2004, 2006), Ellsworth Smith (2008) and the International
Trumpet Competition in Memorium Joesph Haydn in Budapest, Hungary (2009). Kevin
also frequently travels as a guest performer and clinician to universities and
festivals including the University of Maryland, the University of Arkansas-Fort
Smith, and the (Faculty Brass
Quintet). The city of Fort Smith, AK has declared February 13th "Kevin Gebo
Kevin has performed in concerts with such distinguished groups and artists as
Jon Faddis, Lalo Schifrin, Joshua Bell, David Daniels, ,
Chanticleer, Vince DiMartino, Jens Lindemann, ,
, Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra and the Brass Band of
Battle Creek. His performances have taken him all across the country from sold
out arenas to such famous halls as Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Chicago
Symphony's Orchestra Hall, Washington National Cathedral, and as well as
performances around the world in Canada, Austria and Australia. He was also the
principal trumpet on the Naxos recording of William Bolcom's "Songs of Innocence
and Experience" which won four Grammy awards in 2006, including "Best Classical
Some of Kevin's most memorable experiences have been performing in the Inaugural
Parade for President Barack Obama and on live television and radio broadcasts
for EWTN, CBS, NBC, Sirius XM Radio and a nationally televised VISA commercial.
In December 2010 Kevin was invited by Julia Fordham and to perform
as a featured guest on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on their hit single
"UnSung Hero", as well as performances at Hollywood's Catalina Jazz Club and
interviews with the Washington Examiner, Huffington Post, Mark and Brian
(WKLOS), USA Today and The Dennis Miller Show.
Kevin is currently a member of The United States Army "Pershing's Own" Band.
