Why did you choose to attend Grand Valley?
I chose the grad program because I really liked the location. It's close to a lot of medical facilities. And I really like the faculty. They are very involved; a lot of them are still involved in research and are still clinicians.

What do you like best about Grand Valley?
They have really good facilities and again the location is great for health education being that it's in Grand Rapids.

Have you been able to incorporate your graduate studies into your job? How?
My graduate assistantship will help me a lot in my future job because it involves a lot of teaching and helps build people skills.

How will Grand Valley help you meet your future goals?
I think it gives me a really, really solid base of a liberal education. Right now I am learning the skills to perform well in my job. My goal is to be a really good physical therapist and I think this program is where I need to be to become that. Also, I am building a lot of connections with professionals within the field in this area.

How has Grand Valley's faculty made a difference in your graduate experience?
I have had a lot of really amazing professors who are very enthusiastic about how well we are doing and making sure we have the right tools to learn. They are all very passionate people. It makes it easy to go to class and to do well.

What advice would you give to prospective graduate students?
I think once you get into grad programs it is very important to remember why you wanted that much education. Remember your goals and keep things in perspective.
