WKKF-WW Michigan Teaching Fellowship

Clinical Placements

The GVSU program follows a clinical model which includes field work connected with each class in the program, focused rotations during the fall semester, and an intensive internship during the winter and spring semesters. Fellows will be in partner schools throughout the entire school year from August through June. School year placements and rotations will be within the partner districts, the Grand Rapids, Godfrey-Lee,  Kentwood and Muskegon Public Schools. Over the course of the program you will be in all four districts and take part in instructional activities in both middle and high schools. Your primary placement site will depend on your endorsement area(s), availability of an appropriate mentor, and your location preferences. Placements will be made by GVSU program personnel working with the partner districts. We cannot guarantee that a placement will be available for you at a specific school, district, or grade level.
