What is Technology Commercialization?

Observations and experiments during research often lead to discoveries and inventions that may have commercial applicability. Technology Commercialization protects new innovations through patents and copyrights and seeks to transfer the intellectual property to industry by royalty-bearing license agreements for commercial products that result in economic development and public benefit.
