Social Work Continuing Education

Salvador is an assistant professor at GVSU's School of Social Work.  He earned his MSW at GVSU and his doctorate in counseling psychology at Western Michigan University.  Dr. Lopez-Arias has 15 years of clinical experience and also worked in program development/evaluation, clinical supervision and consultation, diversity training, and strategic planning.  He has done an extensive environemtal research scan of current Kent County social services with a focus on "the attitudes toward seeking professional psychological help" - specifically of Latinos, but also of people in general.  He has extensive involvement in social justive and advocacy for those in need.
