Should your plans change, you may transfer your registration to another person at any time. Cancellations must be received in writing (via fax or mail) 48 hours prior to class start time. Cancellations received before the deadline will receive a full refund. Cancellations received after the deadline and/or no-shows are not eligible for refunds. If you have questions, please call our office at (616) 331-7118 or e-mail email@example.com
Registration and payment should occur no later than the second day prior to the event at 5 p.m. If you choose to be invoiced, checks and other payments must be received by our office by that time or your registration may be canceled to make accommodations for those waiting to register for the course. If you have problems making this deadline, you may contact our office to see if special arrangements can be made, but there are no guarantees.
Parking depends on the location of the training. See the map and or directions located under each listed training session.
The time listed for events usually marks the beginning of the registration period. We encourage participants to arrive around this time (or a few minutes before) so the registration process is not rushed.
Generally speaking, all you will need to bring is a writing utensil and a pad of paper unless otherwise noted in the training description.
Yes. Certificates will either be provided at the conclusion of the course or mailed after the event.
The room temperature is generally cooler than most people are used to. We suggest that you add an extra layer of clothing just in case.

Courses are offered for various prices based on clock hours, grant funding, sponsorships, total expenses, partnerships, and a myriad of other reasons. We try to keep our course prices affordable without sacrificing quality and service.
We try to keep our prices affordable and by offering lunch we would be forced to raise our rates. We have decided to leave lunch up to participants so that they can make their own decisions based on their tastes and budgets.
Yes. All social work continuing education courses offered through this office at Grand Valley State University are approved or are pending approval by the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative for continuing education clock hours.

The reason we make this request is to place your license number on the certificates as required by the Collaborative and State Board of Social Work.
Your social work license number is the number under permanent ID on your wallet-sized copy. It is located in the bottom left corner. It usually begins with a #680. If you cannot find it, we’ll be happy to help you locate it during the event.
Your license expires on April 30th, which falls within 3 years after its original issue date. The expiration date should be noted on your license. To look up additional information regarding your license, you may go to the Department of Community Health’s Web site and provide your name, profession, and/or license number at http://www.dleg.state.mi.us/free/default.asp.
We are in the process of securing course materials in electronic formats so that everything can be accessible on this Web site for you to download for reference. We hope to have that information available soon.
You should already be working together or planning the event with a Grand Valley School of Social Work faculty member. If so, contact Jamie at (616) 331-6586 or email@example.com for information on how to offer CECHs for your participants.
