Shanghai, China: L 'Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Commerciales d' Angers (ESSCA) is a private business school. Founded in 1909, ESSCA's mission is to educate students to work in an international environment which gives this institution a decidedly global flair.

When can I go?
Summer 2018: June - July (5 weeks)
Fall 2018: August - December (15 weeks)
Academic Year 2018-2019: August - May (35 weeks)
Winter 2019: January - May (20 weeks)
Where will I live?
Students will find their own apartment upon arrival. Students typically stay in a nearby hotel for the first few nights until a suitable apartment is found. ESSCA will connect students with an agent who will assist students in finding an apartment.
Who is eligible to participate?
This program is open to all majors, but is most suitable for business, International business, management, marketing, international relations, and political science majors and students interested in Chinese Studies. Students must be degree-seeking, and have completed at least one semester at GVSU. 2.5 GPA (undergraduate) or 3.0 GPA (graduate) required.

What credits will I receive?
ESSCA offers courses in many subjects including: business, Chinese language, East Asian studies, economics, international business,
international relations, legal studies, and political science.
Students participating in a partnership program will either register for courses that have been pre-approved or will go through a Course Approval Process.

Total Projected Cost: $13,085 - $15,297* (per semester)

Students typically pay for study abroad through a combination of financial aid, personal funds, scholarships/grants and alternative loans. Early application for financial aid is strongly recommended.

STUDY ABROAD SEMESTER GRANT: The average study abroad semester grant award is $500 per semester. Students who complete an online study abroad application by the designated priority deadline, have a 2.5 GPA and a FAFSA on file, may be eligible for a study abroad grant ranging from $500-$1,750/semester. Due to limited funding, not all eligible students will receive a grant.
