Turkey - Middle East Technical University (METU)

Middle East Technical University was founded in 1956 to contribute to the development of Turkey and Middle East countries. METU’s presence brought about new methods and introduced innovations to Turkish higher education system manifesting METU as a pioneer of modern education nationwide. Today METU is one of Turkey's most competitive universities with a campus area covering 4500 hectares including Lake Eymir, about 20 kilometers from the center of Ankara. A Short distance from Ankara lie the ancient city of Troy, Ephesus, the center of early Christianity, the Aegean sea, and magnificent Istanbul. The language of instruction at METU is English.
