About L'Ecole Superieure des Sciences Commercials d'Angers (ESSCA)

L’Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Commerciales d’Angers (ESSCA) is a private business school located in western France. Founded in 1909, ESSCA’s mission is to educate students to work in an international environment which gives this institution a decidedly global flair. ESSCA offers courses in the fall and spring (winter) semesters, as well as a summer program.

Location
 
Angers, France is a small medieval city of 160,000 inhabitants located in the heart of the Loire Valley. Angers is also a historic and student-friendly city filled with cobblestoned streets, cinemas, cafés, restaurants, and bars. The city is just a quick 90-minute train ride from Paris and only 60 minutes from the spectacular beaches of the Atlantic coast. Angers is home to many museums, a 12th century fortress, a lively city centre and a large student population.
Housing
 
Students can apply for accommodation in the Residence UniverCity in Angers near the city center. The Residence UniverCity apartments offer easy access to the bus line that will take you to the ESSCA campus. All units are furnished and have an internet connection. Early application is encouraged.
 
Academic Program & Courses
 
Students who are interested in proposing a custom study abroad theme are strongly encouraged to review the courses available through this program. Courses in Angers European Business Studies (AEBS) program are particularly suitable for a custom study abroad theme. Students can take courses in English or in French. Courses offered in English include: marketing, finance, intercultural communication, economics, European studies, management, political science—EU, history and more.
  • Summer: June-July (ASP) 4 weeks
  • Fall: September—December 15 weeks
  • Winter Academic Year: January—May (European studies, business and economics course options) 20 weeks September—May
