Johnty Rhodes A cricket who literally sprang up everywhere. Wasn't particularly good at batting or bowling (which is predominately what you should be good at in cricket), but he was amazing at fielding. Regarded as the greatest fielder in the history of the sport.

Dale Steyn is a South African cricketer who plays in Test and One Day International cricket for South Africa. He is currently the number one ranked Test bowler in the world and has been for the past 4 years, achieving the 900+ points benchmark on 13 November 2011. Steyn plays domestic cricket in South Africa for Cape Cobras. He is a right-arm fast bowler. Steyn holds the record for the fastest South African to reach 100 wickets in Test Match cricket, a feat he achieved on 2 March 2008.

Charlize Theron is a Hollywood starlet. She's famous for 'The Devil's Advocate' and 'The Cider House Rules', and won critical acclaim and countless awards for her wacky portrayal of a serial killer in 'Monster', becoming the first South African to win an Academy Award.

Desmond Tutu is the first black South African Archbishop of Cape Town and is one of the most recognized figures in religion worldwide. He rose to fame during the 1980s as an opponent of apartheid. Tutu received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984 and the Gandhi Peace Prize in 2005.

Sasha Pieterse is a South African actress and singer. She is known for her role as Alison DiLaurentis on ABC Family's TV series Pretty Little Liars.

Politics

Nelson Mandela is a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary and politician who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.In 1994, Mandela was inaugurated as South Africa's first black president. In 2009, Mandela's birthday (July 18) was declared Mandela Day to promote global peace and celebrate the South African leader's legacy.

Jacob Zuma is the current president of the Republic of South Africa. Zuma has faced significant legal challenges. He was charged with rape in 2005, but was acquitted. In addition, he fought a long legal battle over allegations of racketeering and corruption, resulting from his financial advisor Schabir Shaik's conviction for corruption and fraud. On 6 April 2009, the National Prosecuting Authority decided to drop the charges, citing political interference.

Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu is the reigning King of the Zulu nation under the Traditional Leadership clause of South Africa's republican constitution. After his 21st birthday and his first marriage, Zwelithini was installed as the eighth monarch of the Zulus. The Zulu are the largest South African ethnic group, with an estimated 10–11 million people living mainly in the province of KwaZulu-Natal.

Helen Zille is the Premier of the Western Cape, a member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament, leader of South Africa's opposition Democratic Alliance political party, and a former Mayor of Cape Town. Zille is a former journalist and anti-apartheid activist, and was one of the journalists who exposed the truth behind the death of Black Consciousness leader Steve Biko while working for the Rand Daily Mail in the late 1970s.
