2023/24 Cost Breakdown for ESSCA Budapest (Summer)

This is the estimated budget for this study abroad program. It serves as an estimated cost of attendance for your study abroad program. Students often pay for study abroad through a combination of financial aid, personal funds, scholarships, grants, and alternative loans. The total amount listed as the Total Program Cost is the maximum amount of aid you can receive from GVSU. This estimated cost of attendance does not reflect the amount of aid you will qualify for, simply the cap on how much could be award to you.

Paid to Grand Valley State University Student Accounts by the regular tuition payment deadline. Graduate students will need to reference the GVSU tuition for 6 graduate credits.

IS 380 Course Fee

Paid to GVSU. The IS 380 course fee is $28 per credit hour. Participants of this program will register for 6 credits of IS 380.

Chubb Health Insurance

$44

The Chubb health insurance plan is mandatory for all study abroad students. The cost is $1.46 per day. This estimate reflects 30 days, but the actual number of days of the program may differ.

$8,640 - $8,860 (estimate for out-of-state students who do not receive a tuition differential scholarship)

Out-of-state students who receive a GVSU tuition differential scholarship will be able to use that scholarship towards the cost of this program. Exception: International students will not have access to the tuition differential scholarship for use towards the cost of study abroad, however, they may still be eligible for the Study Abroad Grant.

Estimated costs are based on a rate of exchange of 1 Euro = 1.10 USD. Exchange rates fluctuate and may impact the estimates listed above. The rate listed here is the rate as of June 2023.
