Community Colleges - Students must articulate the differences in organizational behavior and cultural biases between two-year and four-year colleges; the evolution of the community college as a major component of higher education; the philosophical purposes of the community college and their impact on the organizational behavior of its operation; the importance of community relations and the role that representatives of community colleges play in forging effective partnerships; the diversity of mission, student enrollment, and staffing impact the curriculum and services provided.
Objective 42 90% of M.Ed. in Higher Education students enrolled in the Adult and Higher Education emphasis will be able to articulate the differences in purpose and organizational behavior and cultural biases between two-year and four-year colleges.

Outcome ^ M.Ed. in Higher Education: Critical Issues

Critical Issues in Higher Education: Students must be able to identify, analyze, and debate critical issues facing American higher education; discuss the diverse institutional and environmental factors that influence higher education; and show an understanding the complexity of critical issues in higher education, including their history, context, effects on various constituents, and short- and long-term implications.
Objective 43 90% of M.Ed. in Higher Education students enrolled in the Adult and Higher Education emphasis will be able to identify, analyze, and debate critical issues facing American higher education and discuss the diverse institutional and environmental factors that influence higher education.
