Student Life

Workshops on Demand is a MAXimize Initiative program from the Office of Student Life through the Student Organization Center that strives to increase education and training for student organizations. The service, administered by the Student Organization Staff, connects student groups who request with expert presenters, facilitators and consultants for various organizational and educational topics. Student organizations request a workshop and the Speakers Bureau is the body of University faculty and staff who have volunteered to present, facilitate and consult. There is no minimum expectation for presenters, other than responding to requests from the SOC and facilitating or presenting when their schedule allows.

WOD Facilitated Workshops- a pre-determined topic a presenter would use to create a workshop and then tailor to the audience and their needs.
WOD Consultation- consulting a student organization that hopes to improve their organization, their processes or their programs (no presentation required).
WOD Speaker Training- assist in training students, staff and faculty that sign-up to become better speakers, with the purpose of becoming a WOD Presenter.
