The students of Grand Valley State University, with the guidance of faculty, have formed the Evolution for Everyone Student group to promote cross-disciplinary, integrative education though the application of evolutionary theory. Evolutionary theory provides a common meta-theoretical perspective by which students from diverse fields of study can mutually facilitate and broaden their education. The mission of the Evolution for Everyone Student group is to organize events that will further the goal of promoting integrative education though the application of evolutionary theory. Such events may include (1) discussions focusing on topics (e.g., aesthetics, morality, genetically modified crops) where evolutionary theory has been applied, (2) outside speakers, and (3) educational events.
