 STAND4Freedom 2013

Date: TBA

- S4F is a 27-hour standing vigil for the 27 million slaves in the world today

- It’s happening March 5-15, 2013. Each school picks a 27-hour period during this 10-day window that will work best on their campus

- It is IJM’s first major college student-led campaign designed to unify & multiply the collective efforts of IJM’s 150 College Campus Chapters in addition to hundreds more campuses in the U.S. & around the world.

- Students can sign up to participate & learn more: www.ijm.org/stand (note the top 10 schools by number of sign-ups are featured on the website)

- On the website: sign-up, promo video, promo & planning resources, number schools participating to date, Top 10 schools

- Each school will be assigned a coach and that coach is an IJM student leader (Amber Hendrick is the leader on Grand Valley's Campus this Winter) who planned and led a Stand 4 Freedom event on their campus this fall

- This fall 6 schools piloted the campaign: Over 600 students stood, over 3,000 advocacy cards signed, raised enough for more than 2 rescue operations—imagine what we can accomplish together when hundreds of schools stand this spring!
