English Society will be a place for students interested in literature to gather and meet with like minded individuals. Students of any major or minor will be welcome. It will include discussions of literary works; film screenings; and attendance of related events such as plays, lectures, and readings. It will also promote literature on campus and in the community through events related to larger events including Banned Book Week, National Poetry Month, and events sponsored by the English Department.

Meeting Times
Meetings will be held once a week and their content will vary. They could include discussion of a book which members of the group have read, planning for upcoming events on campus, discussion of events recently attended, promotion of events related to English and literature, and a chance for students with similar interests to socialize.
