PRINCIPLES

BROTHERHOOD - As members of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Inc., we take pride in calling each other brothers. The Spanish translation “Fraternidad,” is where the term fraternity derives from. It is an esteemed privilege to have life long friends that care so much about one another. It is a fellowship, a mutual respect and understanding that each brother has for one another. The bond that we all share is ineffable; that is, not easily put into words. It is something that goes unsaid, and it stretches from coast to coast. To fully understand the relationship that we all have, one has to experience it.

SCHOLARSHIP - We are all at our respected Universities for one reason- to graduate. We are successful, motivated and intelligent human beings who strive for excellence in and out of the classroom. Academics in higher education is a goal that many strive for and members of Sigma Lambda Beta are no exception. This is the basis for us. The knowledge that we possess and will gain at our schools are some of the tools that will push us to being the future leaders throughout the world.

CULTURAL AWARENESS - We push to make all aware of different cultures on our campuses. The world is filled with so many diverse cultures and it is very important to become familiar with them. We are a Latino-based fraternity with an emphasis on Multicultural membership. This means we have brothers who range from all different backgrounds and cultures around the world. We believe in fairness, opportunity and equality of all men no matter their culture, race, ethnicity, religion, etc.

COMMUNITY SERVICE - Service is our way of giving back to the community, helping anywhere and anything that we can. We are fortunate young men who are thankful for all that we have, and this is our way of showing that our abilities are universal and goal orientated.
