You Beautiful Black Woman (YBBW) is a tight-knit group of strong and confident women. The mission and organizational goals are to culturally enhance Grand Valley's campus and increase society's awareness of today's African American woman. YBBW is working towards the goal to unite women across Grand Valley's campus regardless of race, creed or color, while uplifting and enhancing the strength, knowledge, beauty and power of the African American woman. We induct new member once a year during the fall semester so be on the look out for the deadline to become a member. To become a member of YBBW (as of October 17, 2010): * Know the history and annual events * Fill out the Application/Interview process before the deadline * Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.3 * Current GVSU student * Proof of verified community service on or near the Allendale/Grand Rapids area * Participate and attend event
