You Beautiful Black Woman (YBBW) is a tight-knit group of strong and confident women. The purpose of this organization is to create unity among African American women, The mission and organizational goals are the culturally enhance Grand Valley State Universtity's campus and increase society's awareness of the African American woman. YBBW is working towards the goal to unite women across Grand Valley's campus regardless of race, creed, or color, while uplifting and enhancing the strength, knowledge, beauty, and power of the African American woman.

The Beta Chapter holds monthly events for Grand Valley students including, Fireside Chats, Quarter Bake Sales, outings exclusively for YBBW sisters, and other events. Our annual events include our Hair Show, "Trick or Treat" firside chat, Women's Conference, and Martin Luther King Day Dinner Celebration.
