Alpha Omicron Pi is a women's Fraternity that was established January 2, 1897. The object of our Fraternity is to encourage a spirit of Fraternity and love among our members; to stand at all times for character, dignity, scholarship, and college loyalty; to strive for and support the best interests of the colleges and universities in which chapters are installed, and in now way to disregard, injure, or sacrifice those interests for the sake of prestige or advancement of our Fraternity or any of its chapters. One of our symbols, the sheaf of wheat, represents our genuine members; individually unique, together complete. Our flower, the Jacqueminot Rose, is a rose with no thorns, and like our members represents class at its best. Our color is Cardinal; and with only one color we can truly appreciate its simplicity and beauty. Our symbols, like our members are Classy, Simplistic and Genuine.
