This team started organizing in January of 2007. By the fall of 2007 we had 16 girls playing on the team. A few had never played before or had very limited playing experience. We ended the season with 13 girls. We won our first and only game against OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY to get into our league playoffs. Although we only had one win, over the course of a season our team became very strong.
During the summer of 2008 we had 2 recruit skates, one in May and another in July.
In the fall of 2008 we had 21 girls try out and we ended up with 19 on our team. We open the season at HOME against Lindenwood University (2008 National Champions) on September 26th and 27th, which should be a VERY exciting weekend! We have games scheduled against the teams in our league and UMass, University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, University at Buffalo and Michigan Tech. We are looking forward to a VERY exciting season, so come check out our games at Georgetown Ice Arena (3 miles south of campus).
