Active Minds On Campus

Service & Advocacy

Homepage

Welcome to the Active Minds Web site!

We're here to bash down the stigma surrounding mental health issues. Everyone has a story to tell and occasionally needs a shoulder to lean on, and we want people to know that's okay :) We believe in having an active mind, an active body, and making a positive difference in our school and community.

If you like  making a difference, spreading awareness about mental health issues, making new friends in a fun, positive environment and getting more involved on campus, then check out Active Minds!

We're a very close-knit group that is growing and expanding every year. We'd love you to join us. We have community service events, social outings, fundraisers, both planning and social meetings, and plenty of service and advocacy opportunities.

In the past we have had a Breaking Through the Winter Blues event to help get rid of those stressed out/wintery blues feelings that hit around January. We also host events during National Depression Awareness month in October, and a SCREAMFEST  event right before finals in the Spring during National Stress Out Week. We attend National Conferences (this year in Washington DC!) and participate as a team in Relay for Life every year.
