Work-study is a form of financial aid.

A student applies for financial aid including the Work-Study Program by completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form online. Financial need is determined from student and family income and assets as provided on the FAFSA application. Work Study awards are made to students based on their financial need and their indication on the FAFSA form that they are interested in campus employment.
