Financial Aid Office provides financial assistance and counseling to fill the gap between the student's potential resources and educational expenses. The FAO awards work-study based on need and/or if you indicated an interest in work-study on your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Payroll Office is responsible for maintaining "UltraTime" time keep system and processing paychecks. They handle the W-4 forms for tax purposes and are responsible for sending out the W-2's at the completion of the calendar year. You must complete W-4 forms prior to starting employment on campus. Direct deposit is highly recommended. Career Services offers extensive services to students and alumni with preparing written application materials, and developing interviewing skills and job search techniques. The office also coordinates six annual career fairs and assists students in finding internships. PIC provides services for international students. If you were admitted to GVSU as an international student, you will want to check there for information regarding employment restrictions. You will also need to visit this office to complete forms needed to take to Social Security Administration to apply for a Social Security card. You need a social security number to work and be paid on campus. Some students use the card to fulfill the Employment Eligibility Verification process (I-9). If you do not have a card or have lost your card, you can apply for a replacement here. You must do that in person. The Social Security Administration Office is less than two miles from PEW campus.
