The Strategic Planning homepage is being updated to reflect current planning processes and the 2010-2015 GVSU Strategic Plan as approved in October by the Board of Trustees.

This update should be complete by the end of December 2009.

Strategic Positioning 2010

Welcome to the Strategic Positioning 2010 Web site. This site will enable you to learn more about Grand Valley State University’s strategic planning. The diagram (see below) represents Grand Valley’s strategic planning system. As indicated by this diagram, at the center of the system is the Strategic Positioning 2010 Committee which is a standing committee comprised of representatives from the university’s constituent groups. The purpose of the committee is to periodically review the University Strategic Plan for its relevance, accuracy, and appropriateness to strategically position GVSU for its preferred future. Changes to the University plan as recommended by the Strategic Positioning 2010 Committee will be presented to the Board of Trustees for approval. This process is depicted in the upper half of the diagram. The lower half represents who is responsible for implementing the University Strategic Plan and the approved changes to the plan.
