Jo Ann Litton has a long track record of working for universities - one job including being a sorority house mom. She joined Grand Valley in the early eighties, starting in the Admissions office where she eventually became the director. She has also worked in the Financial Aid office and most recently became the senior academic advisor of the CLAS Academic Advising Center. As a liaison for the biomedical science, cell and molecular biology, and chemistry departments, Litton advises pre-professional students in choosing a professional school and the application process. She is there to offer advice and encouragement.
With a bachelor's degree in Spanish and home economics from Ball State University and a master's degree from Bowling Green Ohio, she said she "enjoys the college environment and working directly with students."
