Areas of Specialty
International social work and community development (Eastern & Central Europe), cross cultural adjustment, community practice, ethnography, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. International work includes community development in Yeravan, Armenia and Tirana, Albania. Awarded Fulbright Scholarship in 1998-99 and 2000-01.
Books Include
Crossing Borders- Confronting History (Rowan and Littlefield, 2000), and Fundamentals of Substance Abuse Practice (Brooks/Cole, 2004). Co-Author with Dr. George Grant, Jr.- Allyn & Bacon Casebook Series (8 volumes).
