Areas of Specialty:
Research assessing aging issues among gay men over age fifty, writing protocols, coordinating overall project activities, statistical analysis and writing journal articles in areas such as: HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment; gay/lesbian topics, as well as other general issues affecting social workers and their clients; Faculty advisor for Out and About, GVSU's LGBT student organization; currently working on various diversity and inclusion projects in community organizations.
Community work with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community for the past fifteen years in Detroit and Chicago. Helped secure grant funding for individuals living with HIV/AIDS, including mental health services, food voucher programs, as well as, the first comprehensive program for HIV positive adolescents.
