M.P.A.: Health Administration

Health administration is a five-course concentration option for students in the Master of Public Administration program. This concentration is designed primarily for mid-career professionals who are in clinical or administrative positions and who wish to increase their knowledge, improve their productivity, or seek career advancement. Because the health delivery system is composed of an array of providers and organizations, this concentration is structured to prepare graduates to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a variety of health-related environments.

Health Administration Curriculum

Students concentrating health administration must complete the following five courses. Students whose past experience or career plans suggest a benefit to customization of this curriculum should consult with their advisor.

  • PA 631 U.S. Health Policy and Politics
  • PA 632 Health Services Financial Management
  • PA 633 Health Economics
  • PA 634 Health Care Law and Ethics
