A Look at Compassion Fatigue

  The concept of compassion fatigue has only emerged in the last several years in professional literature, although most people dealing in service-oriented non-profits have known about it for decades. Compassion fatigue is not a fading problem. As more people fall into poverty, more services are cut and the economy continues to drop, service organizations will find more people needing help.
