Ground Travel

From Chicago: I-94 East to I-196/US-31 (Exit 34) at Benton Harbor. Take I-196 toward Grand Rapids to US-131 South. Take US-131 South to Pearl Street exit (keep to the right of the on-ramp to US-131 as this becomes the off-ramp for Pearl Street). Turn right on Pearl Street for one block to the Robert C. Pew Grand Rapids Campus. Approximately 200 miles from Chicago. PLEASE NOTE: Michigan is one hour ahead of Illinois (EST).

From Detroit/Lansing: I-96 West to I-196 West (Gerald R. Ford Freeway) to the Ottawa Avenue exit, #77. Follow Ottawa Avenue south to Pearl Street. Turn right at Pearl Street and follow this one block beyond the US-131 overpass to our campus. Approximately 150 miles from Detroit and 60 miles from Lansing.

From Holland: I-196 East to US-131 South. Take US-131 South to the Pearl Street exit (keep to the right of the on-ramp to US-131 as this becomes the off-ramp for Pearl Street). Turn right on Pearl Street for one block to the Robert C. Pew Grand Rapids Campus. Approximately 30 miles from Holland.

From Kalamazoo: US-131 North to the Pearl Street Exit, #85B. Turn left onto Pearl Street and proceed one block beyond the US-131 overpass to our campus. Approximately 50 miles from Kalamazoo.

From Muskegon: I-96 East to US-131 South. US-131 South to the Pearl Street exit, #85B.Turn right on Pearl Street for one block to the Robert C. Pew Grand Rapids Campus. Approximately 45 miles from Muskegon.

From Northern Michigan: US-131 South to the Pearl Street exit, #85B. Turn right on Pearl Street for one block to the Robert C. Pew Grand Rapids Campus. Approximately 150 miles from Traverse City.

 

Air Travel

Grand Rapids, MI is home to an international airport and within driving distance of two others.

Hotel/Lodging

Our conference hotel is the Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Downtown, 310 Pearl St. NW, Grand Rapids MI 49504 

We have a small block of rooms reserved beginning 4/20/2016 with checkout on 4/23/2016 at a rate of $122 per night (plus tax approx. 15%). This is a solid discount on the usual rate of $229. Parking and Wifi are currently free. 

The hotel has a small bar and a restaurant with a breakfast buffet. 

The hotel is located steps (literally 100 steps) from the Eberhard Center which is where the conference will be held on Friday and across the street from our Saturday location at the Devos Center. The hotel is also across the street from the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum, which is definitely worth a visit if you have time. 

Please book your rooms early. If additional rooms are needed, we’ll do our best to add rooms to the block and/or secure space at another area hotel. If you are looking for a fancy option, also within walking distance, you can reserve rooms at the Amway Grand. The J.W. Marriott and Courtyard by Marriott are also within walking distance of the conference center.

1)      Call the hotel at (616) 235-7611. Be sure to tell them that you are with NACC.

2)      Use this link  Nat'l Assoc of Communications Centers. Once you put in your dates, the appropriate rate should come up.
