Sources Guide
The GVSU Sources Guide is a topical arrangement of Grand Valley faculty
and staff members who can serve as sources for reporters in search of
commentary on breaking news stories or subjects for features.
The faculty members listed in the guide are also available as speakers for area
clubs and organizations. Arrangements can be made with the speakers directly
or through News & Information.

| Biography: |
| Dr. Shirley Fleischmann came to GVSU in 1989 after teaching at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis. Her specialty areas are fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer. As a faculty advisor for the ASME Student Section she has also worked to increase opportunities for students to be professionally involved in service work. She has focused her efforts over the past few years on community service as an essential part of student preparation in engineering." Dr. Fleischmann has been nationally recognized for teaching excellence through a number of teaching awards including the Carnegie Foundation Michigan Professor of the Year in 1998. |
