Sources Guide
The GVSU Sources Guide is a topical arrangement of Grand Valley faculty
and staff members who can serve as sources for reporters in search of
commentary on breaking news stories or subjects for features.
The faculty members listed in the guide are also available as speakers for area
clubs and organizations. Arrangements can be made with the speakers directly
or through News & Information.

| Biography: |
| Dr. Daniel Giedeman's research interests include banking -- particularly banking regulation and how banking may have influenced economic development; the determinants of long-run economic growth, and economic history. He also has an interest in comparing the economic systems of different nations and he recently spent a year as a visiting professor at the University of Konstanz in Germany. He is a member of several economic organizations including the American Economic Association and he is the current international president of the Economic and Business Historical Society.
Giedeman studied economics and history as an undergraduate at Southern Illinois University and then went on to obtain his Ph.D. in economics from Washington University in St. Louis. |
