The GVSU Sources Guide is a topical arrangement of Grand Valley faculty and staff members who can serve as sources for reporters in search of commentary on breaking news stories or subjects for features.

Biography:
Gleaves Whitney is a native of Houston, Texas.¿ He became the director of the Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies in 2003.¿He served as speechwriter for Michigan Gov. John Engler. His most recent book, American Presidents: Farewell Addresses to the Nation, 1796-2001, was published¿in 2002.¿ His forthcoming book, a collection of the wartime speeches of American presidents, will be published by Rowman & Littlefield.
