Sources Guide
The GVSU Sources Guide is a topical arrangement of Grand Valley faculty
and staff members who can serve as sources for reporters in search of
commentary on breaking news stories or subjects for features.
The faculty members listed in the guide are also available as speakers for area
clubs and organizations. Arrangements can be made with the speakers directly
or through News & Information.

| Biography: |
| Barbara Roos founded the Grand Valley State University Film /Video program. She came to academia from a career in public broadcasting. She teaches both media production and history/theory courses. Her current interests are at the intersection of visual anthropology and communications, as part of which she is doing fieldwork Egypt's Sinai penninsula, and in Turkey. She is also completing a long-term video study about the history of higher education in America; specifically, the relationship between career and liberal education. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Michigan. |
