Biography

Professor Randy La Prairie is a peace activist and sociologist who studies U.S. military imperialism. His dissertation examined the domestic social, political and economic factors that influenced and facilitated the Bush administration’s 2003 invasion of Iraq. His current research project examines how similar factors have influenced the U.S. role in the Ukraine-Russia conflict. Professor La Prairie teaches introductory courses in sociology.
